After modification:
 Still need to re-adjust the leather boot. But the shifter basically starts right at the top of the plastic center console. I think its perfect. Before (or with stock) it was if a damn tree was growing out of my center console. The only real downside to shortening the length of your shifters height, is you can't put most sodas in the ashtray hole and still clear it with your arm. Here's what it was like with the stock shifter (the Mookeeh wasn't much shorter at all):
